Laurien Dowdy
Laurien Dowdy attended Mary Baldwin College and achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art. She is long-time Lucketts resident.
For as long as she can remember, Laurien has loved art. She lists Berthe Morisot, Monet and Frida Kahlo as just a a few of her favorite artists.
Laurien has a wide ranging art portfolio and is always open to creating something new! As an avid animal lover and lover of the outdoors however, she thoroughly enjoys painting animal portraits and landscapes!
The delight of bringing an animal’s spirit and light to a canvas for a person to love and cherish for years to come is a driving force for Laurien and she hopes to share this love of animals and their genuine nature and spirit with as many as she is able to.
Laurien is a wife of 27 years, a mother of two and a grandmother of two who spends time gardening and playing with her three Labrador Retrievers — two chocolate, one yellow.
